Ingredientsfor Chicken Marination
- 3 lbs Boneless chicken
- 3 tbsp Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Salt
Ingredients for gravy
- ½ cup Oil
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1½ tsp Cumin powder
- 1½ tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 can Tomato paste
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- ½ tsp Kasoori methi
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Salt to taste
Marinate the chicken pieces with the above mentioned ingredients, and keep it aside for minimum of 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a large skillet add chicken pieces in it and fry until brown. Keep aside.
In the same pan and add finely chopped onions. Let it fry till it turns golden brown.
Now add ginger garlic paste and stir it continuously.
Add coriander powder, cumin powder, chili powder, salt and 1 small can of tomato paste. Keep stirring it so that it doesn’t burn. Simmer the flame to medium lowadd little water and let it cook for 15-20 minutes.
The gravy will start thickening and at this point the color will change to deep red.
Now add the chicken pieces and sprinkle garam masala in it. Let it cook for additional 15/20 minutes on low flame until the chicken is tender. Adjust the gravy thickness according to your preference.
Add cream and Kasoori methi. Put butter in it. Garnish it with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
